My perspective on the therapy room:
For me, the therapy room is a safe, supportive, collaborative space in which the relationship between therapist and client plays a fundamental role in change. Within this relationship, built on trust and mutual respect, clients can express their thoughts and emotions more freely and explore with me the connections between their beliefs, feelings, and behavior. Through conversation, skills training, and shared exercises, unhelpful patterns are gradually identified and changed. This therapeutic relationship provides a setting for learning cognitive and behavioral techniques, while also creating an experience of empathy and collaboration that can itself help reduce psychological suffering and support effective change.
