My perspective on the therapy room:
The therapy room brings therapist and patient together as fellow travelers. Here, clients are encouraged to hear themselves: not only what they say, but also what they leave unsaid and what they express through all their reactions. The therapist also listens, but this is more than ordinary listening. It means hearing associations and following their path through what is spoken and unspoken. Through this shared journey, patients can become acquainted with what they are not and what they could become.
