My perspective on the therapy room:
The therapy room should be a place where clients can reexperience traumatic experiences without being harmed again. The therapist is part of this room and helps create a space where clients can repair themselves and bring their difficulties to be discussed. At times it resembles a mother's womb, at others a strong father. The way the therapist is present with the client helps create the therapy room: a place for repair, change, increased resilience, and the capacity to bear suffering.
